25-06-08 Round Britain Race
Tek-Tanks recently supplied a diesel tank to Tom and Charlie Williams as part of a sponsorship deal for their Round Britain Race 2008 attempt.
The tank was of an unusual design which incorporated a V shaped bottom and an upstand at the aft end to increase the capacity for the longer legs of the race.
Another unusual feature of the tank was a clear hatch at the forward end that could be viewed through a hole in the floor of the boat. Nothing like a good visual indicator!
Tom and Charlie’s attempt can be followed on the website as all the boats have GPS tracking.

Tek-Tanks are in the process of obtaining Type Examination which will enable us to provide CE certificates if required.
This well enable boat builders, building craft to the RCD, to use Tek-Tanks Fuel tanks as standard equipment.

Tek Tanks Now Also Made In Spain
BoatWide, is a new company opened in March 2005, in Spain, near Barcelona, manufacturing the ‘Tek Tanks’ range of Tanks and Holding Tanks built in HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) under license.
BoatWide decided to open in Spain due to a newly introduced law stating that Spanish flagged vessels now require a holding tank. Foreign flagged vessels are not obliged to fit holding tanks; however one aspect of the law is that all boats shall “not pollute”, this effectively means that some form of holding facility for black water is advisable. ...more

Moody 49/46
Tek-Tanks have been appointed suppliers to the new Moody
49, 56 and 66 sailing boats, now built by the well known manufacture,
VT Halmatic.
The
49 takes 4 Tek-Tanks, one large fuel tank with multiple feeds
to supply engine and heating, two wing water tanks with inspection
hatches and a good sized waste holding tank.
Tek-Tanks also produce the diesel fuel tanks for the Pacific
Mk II RIB also manufactured by VT Halmatic
In
January 2000 the all-new Pacific 22 MkII replaced the original
Pacific 22. The new boat complies with SOLAS regulations for
Fast Rescue Craft. Principle features include waterjet propulsion,
